Global Real Estate Investor Qualified Financial Controller Responsibilities


– Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality reporting to the board of directors, regulatory authorities, Luxembourg administration and to the Group
– Be in charge of monthly management accounts
– Be responsible for quarterly management forecasts and quarterly group reporting
– Do annual plan, budget and statutory accounts
– Review the annual corporate tax returns (prepared by external service provider)
– Take care of regular and ad hoc regulatory returns to the CSSF and other regulatory bodies

– Perform weekly liquidity reports
– Be in charge of monthly aged debtor reports
– Review, comment upon and make recommendations to the board of directors on financial statements and any other financial, management or tax reports and budgets generated
– Ensure that proper accounting treatment papers are prepared and filed where required to support accounting positions e.g. revenue recognition
– Manage both internal and external reporting relationships

Regulatory / Legal / Audits

– Deal expeditiously with any requests from the regulatory authority, including lawyers or auditors acting on behalf of the regulator, in accordance with internal policy and procedures
– Ensure that all regulatory/statutory reporting is completed, reviewed and filed on time
– Review and understand the contractual arrangements in place for the PSF and AIF
– Ensure that all contractual income and liabilities are appropriately recognised in the books of the appropriate entities
– Develop and maintain strong working relationships with external and internal auditors
– Manage audit processes to satisfactory conclusion

Management and Supervision

– Provide staff with clear direction regarding accounting matters
– Review work produced by staff for accuracy and correctness
– Manage the charts of account of the accounting systems for each entity, in accordance with Group policy
– Understand and organise training and development needs
– Ensure adherence to all internal policies and procedures

Global Real Estate Investor Qualified Financial Controller Requirements

Your Profile

– University degree in Finance/Accounting or Business Administration
– A minimum of six years’ experience in Real Estate working in an international accounting environment either in public practice or industry
– Previous experience of Luxembourg regulatory reporting would be an advantage
– Excellent skills in English and either French or German would be ideal
– Knowledge of Lux GAAP and IFRS

– Advance knowledge of Excel and general accounting programs
– ACCA, CPA or equivalent with a minimum 6 years post qualification experience
– Ability to understand complex contractual arrangements
– Ability to meet deadlines and continually reassess priorities
– Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills
