Parker and Lynch Real Estate Senior Property Accountant Responsibilities Include

– Prepare and review balance sheets, income statements, cash flows and other accounting reports
– Prepare journal entries, general ledger recording and reconciliations
– Generate monthly financial statements, supporting schedules and work papers
– Conduct accounting review of various financial statements schedules and make corrections as needed for monthly and year-end closings
– Prepare monthly intercompany reconciliations, work papers and debt schedules
– Prepare monthly bank and investment reconciliations
– Manage accounts payable making sure vendors are being paid according to company policies
– Cash management and accounts receivable collections
– Calculate and record appropriate depreciation and amortization of fixed assets

– Reconcile intercompany accounts
– Assist with monthly audit, debt and tax schedules
– Prepare monthly sales tax returns
– Provide accounting and financial analysis support for the property related activities to the management companies and asset management department as required
– Coordinate accounting matters with outside management companies, auditors, assets managers and supervisors
– Assist with annual budgets, projections, acquisition due diligence and other projects
– Review loan documentation, contracts and leasing agreements to ensure proper accounting
– Assist other accountants with special projects and other support as assigned

Parker and Lynch Real Estate Senior Property Accountant Requirements

– A Bachelor’s degree, in accounting, finance, business, or similar degree
– 3-5 years work experience in public or private accounting positions
– Experience in Excel, Word, Outlook and other Microsoft Office programs; knowledge of Yardi
– Knowledge of real estate industry accounting practices is highly preferable
